Container is an ongoing project exploring vessels and their capacity to hold, carry, and transform memory. Through familiar objects, materials, and images transferred onto their surfaces, I investigate the relationship between physical form and what it contains. The project began with Emergency Luggage, a body of work using ceramic suitcases to explore displacement, the fragility of memory, and the things people choose to carry with them. From this starting point, Container opens up further possibilities for investigating different forms of containment and their meanings across contexts.
Emergency Luggage
is a body of work exploring suitcases as vessels of personal and collective memory. Through ceramic forms and layered imagery, the works reflect on displacement, the fragility of memory, and the things we choose to carry with us.
